Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks a Medical Assistant (Ophthalmic Technician) for PRN coverage at Southgate, MI. Training will be provided. Shifts are 1-2 days per week within 6:00am–4:00pm hours, with no late nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.

The role supports ophthalmologists by monitoring vitals, maintaining aseptic technique, stocking supplies, and documenting patient information. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.
• Commitment to patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring vital signs and transporting patients.
• Maintains aseptic technique at all times.
• Assist in stocking OR supplies and inventory management.
• Documents results in medical records and communicates with nurses/physicians.
• Assists in pre-op and post-op instructions with patients.
