Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide supportive and restorative care, medication administration, and tasks under RN direction. You will participate in nursing processes, essential vitals, IV therapy, and outpatient dialysis-related duties within a large NY hospital system.

You will work under supervision, coordinate with the nursing team, and contribute to patient comfort and safety through skilled practical nursing care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Completion of educational program for licensure as a LPN.
• Successful completion of NYS LPN IV Therapy Initial Program.
• Annual unit-based review & update in intravenous therapy procedures.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications per nursing policy, excluding certain IV routes.
• Perform nursing tasks under RN supervision and plan care with RN input.
• Conduct patient assessments and document observations in EMR.
• Provide direct patient care including ADLs and pain management.
• Participate in hemodialysis-related nursing tasks under supervision.
