Job summary

Triad Eye Institute is seeking a Lead Ophthalmic Technician in Tulsa to guide and develop the technician team while staying hands-on with patient care. You will coordinate daily clinic flow, support physicians, and uphold clinical standards across procedures and testing.

The role requires 1+ year of ophthalmic tech experience with leadership or training exposure; COA/COT or equivalent certification is preferred. Competitive benefits and PTO accompany a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of ophthalmic technician experience; previous lead, training, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong clinical ophthalmic skills and knowledge of ophthalmic testing, terminology, procedures, and equipment.
• Ability to lead by example and provide positive guidance to team members; strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day guidance, support, and direction to ophthalmic technicians while maintaining an active role in patient care.
• Assists with coordinating daily technician assignments and clinic flow to ensure physicians and patients are supported efficiently.
• Works closely with clinic management to identify staffing, workflow, scheduling, and operational needs.
• Serves as a clinical resource for ophthalmic technicians and assists staff with questions regarding procedures, testing, equipment, and physician protocols.
• Assists with the orientation, training, and ongoing development of new and existing ophthalmic technicians.
• Provides coaching and feedback to technicians regarding clinical skills and patient service.
• Maintains proficient knowledge of testing equipment and assists with patient histories and minor procedures.
