Job summary

Emory Healthcare seeks an Ophthalmic Photography Technician to support the Ophthalmology clinic with diagnostic imaging of ocular anatomy. Responsibilities include single and stereo fundus photography, OCT/OCTA imaging, topography, slit lamp and gonio photography, and angiography imaging.

The role requires customer service skills, interpersonal communication, and independent decision-making. The position reports to a Supervisor of Ophthalmic Operations or Chief Ophthalmic Technician and involves

Qualifications

  • HS diploma preferred and one (1) year of experience.
  • BLS certified, film & digital based photo skills at the intermediate level, experience in ophthalmic or medical photography required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and image ocular anatomy for diagnostic and documentary photography; perform single and stereo fundus photography; image posterior pole through and around dense or opaque media.
  • Perform all Optical Coherence Tomography and OCTA imaging, topography, slit lamp photography, gonio photography; perform Angiography and obtain images (FA and ICG).
  • Certify for assigned clinical trial photography studies; complete images and other duties as assigned.
