Job summary

Essilor Instruments, part of EssilorLuxottica, seeks an In‑House Service Technician to maintain ophthalmic and lens finishing equipment, ensuring performance and safety. You will perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repairs while documenting activities and supporting regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with vendors, manage parts inventory, and assist customers with technical guidance via phone, email, or video, contributing to service quality and uptime.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient in diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical/electrical issues.
• Experience with calibration, maintenance, and service procedures per SOPs and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on ophthalmic and finishing instruments.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Follow SOPs and manufacturer specs for calibration and service procedures.
• Maintain complete documentation of maintenance, repairs, and equipment history.
• Collaborate with vendors for complex repairs and parts sourcing.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and tools for readiness.
• Provide technical guidance and product support via phone, email, or video.
• Inspect and test new or refurbished equipment before release.
