Job summary

Mass Eye and Ear, part of Mass General Brigham, seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the perioperative team. You will maintain sterile technique, manage instrumentation, and anticipate the needs of surgeons across ophthalmology, ENT, and related procedures.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, CST certification or within a defined timeframe, and BLS. Experience in ophthalmology or head/neck surgery is preferred, with teamwork and safety as core

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
• One year of surgical technologist experience preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required or obtained within organizationally defined timeframe.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains operating rooms for scheduled procedures.
• Performs surgical scrub duties and establishes sterile fields.
• Organizes instruments and supplies per procedure/surgeon preference.
• Scrubs and assists in ophthalmology, ENT, head/neck, plastics procedures.
• Anticipates surgical team needs and maintains sterility during cases.
• Passes instruments, implants, and supplies while maintaining efficiency.
