Job summary

Florida Vision Institute in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a patient-focused Diagnostic Technician to join our ophthalmology team. You will assist ophthalmologists by operating diagnostic equipment and capturing measurements to support accurate diagnoses.

We offer consistent hours and a comprehensive benefits package in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Certification as a COA/COT is encouraged; travel to other locations may be required to cover clinical needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary ophthalmic tech training may be preferred.
• COT or COA certification is encouraged but not required.
• Strong communication skills and empathy for patient care.
• Willingness to travel to other locations to support clinical needs.
• Proficiency with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed patient history including eye symptoms and medications.
• Administer basic vision tests such as acuity and color vision.
• Conduct tests such as Fundus Photography and Visual Field Testing.
• Operate OCT, A-scan and B-scan ultrasounds and corneal topography.
