Job summary

Sight360 is seeking an Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technician to perform diagnostic testing (fundus photography, OCTs, color vision, pachymetry, visual fields) and assist ophthalmologists/optometrists. Travel between clinic locations and overtime may be required.

Responsibilities include operating imaging and testing equipment, documenting results, and maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA. Certification preferred; minimal ophthalmology experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in ophthalmology.
• Certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Open and close diagnostic area, maintaining equipment and rooms in working conditions.
• Perform tests based on a physician's orders.
• Perform visual field testing: Humphrey.
• Perform OCT testing: Heidelberg and Cirrus.
• Fundus photography and external photography.
• Corneal topography: Atlas and Pentacam.
• Timely, accurate transfer of test results into electronic medical records.
• Update patient records with EMS or related systems.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions.

This position may also be responsible for assisting Ophthalmologists and Optometrists by performing ophthalmic clinical functions as necessary including patient work ups and administering eye medications. Travel between clinic locations and/or overtime may be required based on operational needs.
