Job summary

American Vision Partners (AVP) is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia care at the Barnet Dulaney Perkins surgical center in Phoenix, AZ. This is a per diem role with a Wednesday schedule, supporting the ophthalmology operating room and eye clinic teams.

You will participate in peri-operative planning, administer ophthalmic anesthesia techniques, and maintain complete anesthesia records, contributing to high-quality patient care alongside a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and anesthesia program.
• Current Arizona RN license.
• Current CRNA certification (AANA).
• ACLS certification.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic anesthesia techniques.
• At least 1 year peri-orbital anesthesia experience.
• Strong communication, decision-making, ethics and confidentiality.
• No impairment that would limit safe anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Function as a member of the operating room team.
• Provide information and emotional support to patients and families.
• Formulate an appropriate and safe anesthetic care plan for each patient.
• Provide anesthesia care using retrobulbar, topical, local infiltration, IV sedation and/or analgesia.
• Assist physician and staff in management of clinical emergencies.
• Plan peri-operative patient care with physicians and nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate records of each patient's anesthesia.
• Notify when anesthesia supplies need restocking.
