Job summary

American Vision Partners (AVP) is recruiting a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia care across several valley ASCs in Sun City, Scottsdale, Mesa and Phoenix. The Director of Anesthesia schedules assignments to match location preferences.

One week of on-call is required approximately every six weeks. The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to high-quality ophthalmic anesthesia, with travel between sites and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and an accredited anesthesia program.
• Current Arizona RN License.
• Current certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification; ophthalmic anesthesia experience preferred (1+ year).

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care in the operating room and pre-operative areas.
• Formulate safe anesthetic care plans based on patient data.
• Utilize peribulbar, retrobulbar, topical, local, IV sedation and/or analgesia techniques.
• Manage emergencies in surgery suite or eye clinic as needed.
• Maintain accurate anesthesia records and assist in peri-operative planning.
