Job summary

Azul Vision in Redlands, CA is seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Clinical Research Technician to support trials from start to finish. You will interpret procedures, ensure protocol adherence, and maintain regulatory binders with precision, while coordinating with sponsors and clinic staff.

The role includes directing staff, training on SOPs, discussing informed consent per GCP, preparing IRB submissions, and managing data collection and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the clinical research industry.
• Prior ophthalmic technician experience is highly desired.
• Thorough knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, symptoms and ocular medications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, comprehend, and conduct clinical research procedures while following all protocols.
• Oversee patients in trials, with guidance from sponsors; ensure proper care.
• Pre-screen chart reviews and discuss details with referring physicians.
• Manage study start-up documents for proper documentation and compliance.
• Discuss informed consent with patients and families per GCP guidelines.
• Train staff to ensure protocol compliance across trials.
• Prepare IRB submissions and safety/close-out reports.
• Coordinate site visits with Sponsors and ensure sponsor satisfaction.
• Oversee delegation logs and training for clinical research personnel.
• Maintain regulatory binders per sponsor specs.
