Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to support the Westside ophthalmology team on a part-time basis. Responsibilities

• Assists healthcare providers in the ambulatory setting.
• Obtain patient past and present ocular and general medical history.
• Perform diagnostic testing under the supervision of physicians and techs (visual field testing, keratometry, pachymetry, intraocular pressure).
• Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
• Uses interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, physicians, and staff.
• Provides age specific care to patients from toddlers through elderly.
• Scribing for Physician.
• Provide other patient services and education as requested by the physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
