Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of contact lens usage.
• Ability to work independently in a high-stress environment.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists healthcare providers in ambulatory settings.
• Obtain patient ocular and general medical histories.
• Perform visual acuity testing.
• Conduct diagnostic tests under supervision (visual fields, keratometry, pachymetry, IOP).
• Scribe for physicians and provide patient education as requested.
• Ensure PHI confidentiality and comply with UH policies.
