Job summary

Emplify Health, a partnership of Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System, is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant/Scribe to support eye practices in La Crosse and surrounding areas. The role offers exposure in clinic and surgery settings and is ideal for pre-med students.

The position runs 36 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, with starting pay of $17.93 per hour, and travel to Onalaska, Tomah, Winona, Whitehall, and Viroqua may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• 6 months customer service and/or public relations experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform support functions to the eye practices of the department and gain exposure as an ophthalmology scribe.
• Work in clinic and surgery with ophthalmologists, including General Ophthalmology, Glaucoma, and Retinal specialists.
• Travel to La Crosse area and neighboring sites (Onalaska, Tomah, Winona, Whitehall, Viroqua) as needed.
• Schedule is 36 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.
