Job summary

Gundersen Health System in Wisconsin is hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant to support our eye care practices. This role is responsible for assisting with patient care functions, including pre-testing for appointments, performing various diagnostic tests, and supporting providers in delivering quality patient care.

You will work 36 hours per week in Friendship, WI, with on-the-job training and starting pay of $17.93/hour plus experience-based increases.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• At least 6 months customer service and/or public relations experience.
• No prior optical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care functions, including pre-testing for appointments.
• Perform diagnostic tests and support providers in delivering quality care.
• Provide a quality optical experience to patients and guests.
