Job summary

The role requires 1–2 years in ophthalmic settings, HS or GED, CPR certification, and preferred COA from JCAHPO. This on-site position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork within GBMC HealthCare's ophthalmology team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a clinical ophthalmic setting (COA may substitute).
• HS or GED required.
• CPR certification currently held.
• JCAHPO COA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Ophthalmologist in diagnostic, therapeutic and corrective procedures.
• Perform basic clinical tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, refractometry.
• Administer eye drops and irrigating solutions; maintain accurate records.
• Calibrate and maintain ophthalmic equipment to ensure reliability.
• Input patient information into database and manage clerical tasks.
