Job summary

Qualifications

• HS or GED required; COA certification preferred within 12 months.
• 1–2 years of clinical ophthalmic experience; COA may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Assist Ophthalmologist with diagnostic, therapeutic, and corrective procedures.
• Perform tests: visual acuity, color vision, tonometry, retinoscopy, and refraction.
• Calibrate and maintain ophthalmic equipment for accuracy.
• Enter patient data and manage records in the database.
