Thomas Eye Group Pc is hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant to support our ophthalmology clinics in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting. You will perform patient work-ups, vision testing, and basic measurements, ensuring accurate data entry in the EMR system.

We value strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and the ability to multitask across tests and patient education. A COA/COT certification is a plus, with 1–2 years in healthcare preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• COA/COT certification is a plus.
• 1–2 years of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Patient Work-Up: Conduct basic patient assessments, incl. visual acuity tests, IOP measurements, dilation.
• Testing and Evaluation: Perform tests such as confrontation visual fields, cover testing, versions; assist in refractions.
• Patient Interaction: Greet patients, explain procedures, answer questions, provide education.
