St. Elizabeth Healthcare in the Northern Kentucky region seeks an Ophthalmic Assistant to support physicians and APPs by taking medical histories, performing initial exams, and conducting basic tests to prep patients for visits. The role emphasizes HIPAA/OSHA compliance, precise charting, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinic setting.

This position requires handling patient inquiries, triage, and assisting with examinations while ensuring safety and quality of care in Florence, KY.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Must have 1 year MA, CNA, PCA, STNA, or SEH Clinical Care Tech experience or MA program completion or SEP Internship or EMT certification.
• Health or Biological Sciences degree with clinical exposure is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Escort patients to exam rooms and collect vital signs.
• Document patient history and data in the chart.
• Assist the provider during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare patients for exams and provide post-exam instructions.
• Maintain infection control practices and equipment sterilization.
• Support the revenue cycle with accurate forms and documentation.
