Job summary

Qualifications

• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Non-certified: JCAHPO certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant required within 1 year of hire or transfer.
• Certified: JCAHPO certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality care to patients of all ages as defined in the ambulatory care nursing philosophy of Essentia Health.
• Performs tests and procedures and assists ophthalmologists or optometrists in providing quality eye care.
