Job summary

You will greet patients, obtain histories, perform tests, and assist with procedures, while ensuring accurate EHR entries and efficient patient flow.

The role involves scheduling, inventory, room preparation, and collaboration with the clinical team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months to 1 year ophthalmology/optometry experience preferred.
• ICA-accredited training or IJCAHPO/AAO program beneficial.
• COA or COT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and perform patient intake and document history in the EHR.
• Perform comprehensive ophthalmic workups and testing.
• Assist Providers with exams, treatments, and in-office procedures.
• Administer medications as directed and serve as a scribe when needed.
• Schedule appointments, manage queues, and document in the EHR.
• Clean, restock, and sterilize exam rooms; maintain safety standards.
• Help onboard new staff and apprentices; support cross-team collaboration.
• Travel to other CEENTA locations as needed for coverage.
