Job description

These roles provide essential assistance to healthcare professionals in delivering patient care. Ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations by handling tasks that support the diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural aspects of patient care. Allied Health - Health Services professionals work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services.

The focus of these roles is on the care and correction of vision, involving the diagnosis, treatment, and management of eye health and vision‑related issues. Professionals in the optical field work with patients to assess vision, prescribe corrective lenses, and detect eye disease.

Individual contributors are responsible in a clinical discipline or specialty, spending the majority of time delivering support services or activities typically under supervision. Opportunities for progression outside this career stream are typically limited without additional education or significant training and experience. A specialty license or certification is required, acquired through training and/or experience. This career stream is most commonly applied to patient care areas.

Entry‑level position typically requires little to no prior knowledge or experience and requires vocational or technical education. Work is routine or follows standard procedures. Work is closely supervised. Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Experience: No experience required
• Licensure: American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required

Physical Demands

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling (distance: 50 feet), reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull 50–100 lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $17.65 – $27.36 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
