Job description

Immediate full-time opening for an Ophthalmic Medical Assistant in our Manchester, NH location.

Become part of our eye-care team, assisting doctors who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the eye. www.NHEYE.com

We are a well-established multi-specialty ophthalmic practice with 11 providers in 2 locations and still growing. We offer competitive wages and benefits and no weekend hours!

*Experience is a plus but we will train the right candidate.

Applicants must be professional, dependable, detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask in a busy environment, possess strong communication and computer skills, and have the ability to stand for long periods. Must be a team player and willing to learn new things.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Documenting chief complaints and ocular/medical histories in EHR.
  • Checking vision, administering eye drops, checking intraocular pressures, extraocular muscles, pupils, and confrontational fields.
  • Performing lensometry, topography, refractometry, and other diagnostic tests as requested.

No certification is required; however, candidates must be willing to work toward certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COA).
