Job summary

GFL Environmental in Cushing, OK is seeking a Vacuum Truck Operator to support our Vacuum Truck Services team. You will perform hydro excavation, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, and hauling of fluids and materials, with safety, professionalism, and teamwork as priorities.

Travel to project sites, sometimes out of state, may be required. Requirements include Valid CDL A with 1+ year of industrial vacuum truck/tanker experience, Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, and safety

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A and 1+ years of industrial vacuum truck/tanker experience.
• Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements required.
• Willingness to travel with durations of one week to one month.
• Safety tickets such as First Aid/CPR, CSTS, TDG, and H2S Alive are assets.
• Roll-off and Hydrovac truck experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vacuum equipment in an industrial setting, adhering to company policies, procedures, and on-site requirements.
• Provide exceptional service to clients, professionally representing GFL, and maintain detailed, accurate company documentation.
• Complete daily equipment pre-trips, driver logs for NSC compliance, and participate in safety programs like meetings, near miss reporting, and job hazard assessments.
• Work independently, manage time and productivity efficiently, and communicate effectively.

The Vacuum Truck Operator

The Vacuum Truck Operator will work with the Vacuum Truck Services team to provide exceptional service to our clients. Services provided include (but are not limited to): hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing, water hauling, and loading and hauling of various fluids/ material. The chosen individual will perform this diverse range of activities with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork. Roll-off and Hydrovac experience a plus. Currently, this position requires moderate out-of-state travel, and contingent upon project requirements. Please be advised that this position requires a willingness to travel. Candidates must be able to travel for durations ranging from one week to one month at a time.

What you’ll do:

What’s required:

• Valid CDL A and 1+ years of industrial vacuum truck/tanker experience.
• Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements required.
• Willingness to accept after-hour calls when necessary, with some short-term travel and overnight stays required.
• Valid safety tickets such as First Aid/CPR, Construction Safety Training (CSTS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and H2S Alive are considered assets.
• Roll-off and Hydrovac truck experience a plus.
