Primary Role
General operation and maintenance (o&m) of plant, pump stations, and sewers.
Key Accountabilities
- O&M of the pump stations and EQ tank facilities and associated equipment, such as pump control systems, standby generators, compressors, odor control systems and washdown booster sytems.
- Position will be on call and available for alternating weekends during the hours of 3:00pm Friday to 7:00am Monday.
Knowledge/Skills
- Must have mechanical aptitude and thorough knowledge and understanding of sewage pumps, pump drives, pneumatic systems, and basic electrical systems.
- Must be able to work independently, make field judgments, and make process control decisions.
- Must be able to read, interpret, and follow written manufacturer’s o&m instructions and diagrams to perform preventative maintenance, basic maintenance repairs, and troubleshooting.
Experience/Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Schedule
- Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm
- Position will be on call and available for alternating weekends during the hours of 3:00pm Friday to 7:00am Monday.
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid driver’s license required
- PA DEP Class AE - subclass 1, 2, 4 wastewater system operator license required.
Other
- Must be available for emergency call out and overtime 24 hours per day.
- May be required to complete and maintain forms needed for a driver qualification file.
- May be required to obtain a DOT medical card.
