Job summary

SGS in Alvin, Texas, is looking for an Operator Trainee to assist in all dedicated projects from start to finish. In this entry-level role, you will receive hands-on training to develop skills for the safe and efficient operation of process equipment. Responsibilities include operating process equipment under guidance, participating in training, and troubleshooting minor issues.

The ideal candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a Process Technology degree is preferred. This position requires obtaining a TWIC card and possibly a passport for on-site tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Process Technology degree or one year of relevant experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for on-site travel or operations.

Our division, SGS MPR Services https://mprservices.com/ is currently seeking candidates for an Operator Trainee position. The Operator Trainee will assist on all dedicated projects from start to finish, complying with operating policies and procedures, and/or the policies and procedures of clients. This entry-level position provides hands‑on experience and training to develop the skills required for safe and efficient operation of process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist during setup and tear down activities of process equipment.
• Operating process equipment under the guidance of experienced operators.
• Participate in on‑the‑job process training and lab analysis training, as required.
• Troubleshoot minor operational issues with guidance, as learning moments.
• Maintain Safety qualifications.
• Miscellaneous additional tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Process Technology degree or one year of relevant experience (Preferred)
• Valid driver’s license (if required for on‑site travel or operations).
• Must be able to obtain TWIC card.
• Must have or be able to obtain a passport.
