Job summary

The Musconetcong Sewerage Authority is seeking qualified candidates for the full-time position of wastewater operator. The successful candidate will begin as an Operator Trainee and once they successfully complete the training can be promoted to Operator.

The role involves operating and maintaining wastewater equipment at our Budd Lake facility, with daily sampling, data review, and documentation. A High School Diploma with a NJ license is required, along with strong math, reading and writing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and a valid NJ driver's license.
• Must be proficient in math, reading and writing and must be able to communicate effectively.
• Background check and compliance with New Jersey First Act required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater equipment, pumps, motors, controls, valves, etc.
• Sample and analyze wastewater and sludge, record keeping and data review.
• Data calculations, inspections, housekeeping and general site maintenance.

include but are not limited to operation and maintenance of various equipment, pumps, motors, controls, valves, etc.

Daily Tasks

consist of sampling & analysis of wastewater and sludge, record keeping, data collection and review, data calculating, inspections, housekeeping, and landscaping.

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma and a valid NJ driver's license. Candidates must be proficient in math, reading and writing and must be able to communicate effectively.
