Job summary

CableCom, LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure in Coos Bay, Oregon. You will operate drill equipment and determine bore paths, ensuring utilities are located and bore work is scheduled safely and efficiently.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain, a clean driving record, and the ability to work in all weather conditions. Benefits and competitive pay accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the US.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize Mud mixing systems as required.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site setup, cleanup and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Utilize “Mud” mixing systems
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site set-up, clean‑up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Operator Telecom Drill Bores is $25.00 - $32.00.
