Job summary

PAC is seeking an entry-level production associate to load and operate polishing equipment and perform light mechanical assembly of heater tube products. You will use hand tools, jigs, and fixtures, deburr and clean parts, verify dimensions with basic measuring instruments, and complete production documentation.

The role emphasizes adherence to 5S standards, safety policies, and accurate labor reporting while maintaining organized work areas and contributing to quality improvements.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior manufacturing, assembly, or hands-on mechanical experience preferred; no minimum length of experience required.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.

Your Role

Under direct supervision, loads and operates polishing equipment and performs light mechanical assembly of heater tube products using hand tools, fixtures, and documented work instructions. Verifies part condition against defined quality standards and completes required production documentation.

ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES
  • Load, operate, and unload polishing equipment in accordance with established work instructions and process parameters.
  • Perform light mechanical assembly of heater tube products using hand tools, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Deburr, clean, and prepare parts for downstream operations.
  • Verify part condition and dimensions using basic measuring instruments and visual finish standards; record inspection results as required.
  • Complete production documentation, travelers, and labor reporting accurately and on time.
  • Stage, handle, and package finished assemblies for transfer or shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Report quality discrepancies, equipment issues, and material shortages to the Supervisor, and make constructive suggestions to improve production efficiency and quality.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
  • Respond to change productively and perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
  • (U.S.) High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior manufacturing, assembly, or hands-on mechanical experience preferred; no minimum length of experience required.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Ability to use common hand tools and basic measuring instruments.
  • Ability to follow established routines, prioritize assigned tasks, and work productively with limited direct oversight once trained.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, manuals, and safety data sheets common to a production environment.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions.
