Job summary

Home Pride, Inc. in Bristol, VA is seeking an Operator to weld, assemble and package steel anchors, steps and anchoring systems for the manufactured housing industry. This hands-on role uses a variety of power and hand tools and requires safety compliance.

The position works four 10-hour days per week, with opportunities for safety rewards and a complete benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays and vacation.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalency.
• Minimum basic skill using air-powered hand tools and electric saws and drills; experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and read measurements with a tape to 1/16 inch.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally more.

Responsibilities

• Wear required safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection and respirators.
• Review daily work order.
• Check preventive maintenance on tools.
• Follow supervisor instructions on tasks and products.
• Handle materials including wood and steel.
• Use hand and power tools: saws, drills, air stapler, air nail guns, grinders, sanders, presses.
• Check quality of work.
• Clean up work area at end of shift or when job is complete.

Home Pride Inc. has an opening for an Operator in Bristol, VA.

Operators are responsible for welding, assembly and packaging of steel anchors, steps and anchoring systems for the manufactured housing industry.

This position works 4 ten hour day shifts weekly.

Responsibilities Include:

• Wear required safety protection equipment, safety glasses, hearing protection and respirators
• Review product work order for the day
• Check for preventive maintenance on tools to be used
• Work with instructions from supervisors on tasks and product needed
• Work with materials such as wood and steel
• Utilize hand tools and power hand tools: saws, drills, air stapler, air nail guns, grinders, sanders, and presses
• Check Quality
• Clean up work area end of shift or when job is complete
