Job summary

Magna Steyr is seeking a Production Operator in Mesa, AZ to retrofit automotive components per customer requirements and engineering change notices. The role involves assembling, installing, and replacing parts with hand tools and fixtures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will follow standardized work, conduct quality checks, and document activities in shop floor systems, while maintaining a clean, safe workstation in line with 5S principles.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to learn and develop constantly.
• 3-5 years of assembly-related experience in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Retrofit and modify automotive components according to customer specifications, work instructions, and engineering change notices.
• Assemble, install, or replace parts using hand tools, fixtures, and production equipment.
• Follow standardized work, visual aids, and quality requirements to ensure compliance with customer and internal standards.
• Perform inspections and quality checks to verify correct installation and functionality of retrofitted components.
• Document production activities and retrofitting completion using shop floor systems or production logs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in accordance with 5S and safety guidelines.
