Job summary

Magna International, Inc. is seeking an assembler for on-site work at our Birmingham, Alabama facility. The role involves precise assembly and sub-assemblies of components, machine interfacing, and basic modification tasks on the production line.

Ideal candidates will read simple blueprints, perform fastening and adjustments, and work with hand and power tools to meet operating requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Works on precision assembly or sub-assemblies of small or medium sized units involving a number of parts or erection of larger units having a limited number of parts and fairly liberal tolerances.
• Places and removes parts into or onto various production machines.
• Performs assembly, fastening or other material modification operations on assembly line.
• Fits and adjusts products to meet operating requirements.
• Modifies parts using simple hand and power tools.
• Reads simple blue prints.
