Job Description:

Operator Packing

Site: KKC - Columbus, Ohio

Shift: 3rd Shift (11:00 pm - 7:30 am)

The Packaging Operator is a multi-skilled packing associate responsible for maximizing efficiency on packing lines while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

What are we looking for?

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in FMCG manufacturing environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain excellent packaging line efficiency according to the plan and escalate deviations.
• Ensure safe and correct operation of all packing equipment and plant.
• Support peers in achieving safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Achieve packaging score targets.
• Uphold cleaning standards.
• Participate in operational improvements.
• Communicate effectively with all operations staff.
• Monitor adherence to standards and resolve breaches promptly.

Critical Competencies:

• Understanding of the entire factory process.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate under pressure.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment mechanically and through controls; write work orders as needed.
• Ability to work independently within a self-directed team.
• Manage multiple tasks and make timely decisions.

Functional Skills/Knowledge:

• Adhere to Mars Safety Practices.
• Assess product quality and troubleshoot issues.
• Read production schedules.
