Job summary

Gold Fields seeks a Nipper to join our underground teams at Agnew, delivering essential support to production and development crews. This physically demanding role offers a solid foundation and a clear pathway to underground operator positions, with reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor.

You'll be part of a safety‑conscious crew, performing ground support tasks, equipment deliveries and pre‑start checks while upholding high housekeeping and teamwork standards. FIFO from Perth applies.

Qualifications

• Previous underground mining experience as a Nipper or Truck Driver.
• Physically fit and able to work in physically challenging environments.
• Strong safety focus and compliance mindset.
• Commitment to teamwork, accountability and strong communication skills.
• Current manual Driver's License.
• Current Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights.
• Able to provide a satisfactory National Polick Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supporting underground crews through equipment delivery, waste removal, ground support and general assistance.
• Off-siding Jumbo operators with ground support tasks such as bolting, meshing, heading setup, and service crew activities, as required.
• Completing pre-starts, identifying & reporting hazards and ensuring excellent housekeeping.
• Ensuring fitness-for-work on all rostered days and contributing to a strong safety culture.

• FIFO from Perth | 8/6 days, 7/7 nights rotating roster at Agnew gold mine
• Build valuable underground mining experience with a global gold producer
• Underground mining experience required

As a Nipper, you'll play a vital underground support role, working alongside underground production and development crews to keep operations running smoothly and safely.

Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, this is a physically demanding and fast-paced role that provides a solid foundation and genuine pathway to underground operator roles.
