Job summary

Feed Energy in Pacific Junction, IA is hiring an Operator to work with advanced production systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Training starts on a 2-2-3 day shift; after training, night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, PIMS, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Follow all standard operating procedures during daily operations.
• Follow safety rules by inspecting safety equipment and maintaining safety standards.
• Prepare machinery for operation.
• Keep records and logs associated with operations of the plant.
• Operate valves and pumps to move products between tanks.
• Monitor temperatures and pH of products and processing times.
• Monitor product quality and take samples as required.
• Unload and load trailers and rail cars.
• Operate shag tractor to spot trailers.
• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate company values in daily work interactions.

$1000 Sign on Bonus! - Paid at 6 months. This position's shift will work on a 2-2-3 Day-Shift schedule for first 3-months for training, then may go to nights. Operators start at $22.00 to $25.00 per hour based on experience. Operators are eligible for quarterly bonuses, as well!

This position must pass a background check and drug screen.

What you will do

• Follows all standard operating procedures during daily operations.
• Follows safety rules by inspecting safety equipment and maintaining safety standards.
• Prepares machinery for operation.
• Keeps records and logs associated with operations of the plant.
• Operates all valves and pumps associated with plant production systems to move products between tanks.
• Monitors temperatures and pH of products, and processing and transfer times of products.
• Monitors product for quality assurance, takes and maintains product samples as required under procedures.
• Unloads and loads trailers and rail cars.
• Operates shag tractor to spot trailers.
• Responsible for housekeeping duties as assigned by Shift Lead, Operations Supervisor and Plant Management.
• Ability to demonstrate our company values in everyday work interactions.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to operate computer systems including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, PIMS, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic mathematical calculations.
