Purpose Statement

Responsible for safely running different types of table machines and equipment that sheet and process extruded dough into products that meet customer specifications while ensuring food defense and quality.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
  • Sets up and changes over all equipment to meet customer specifications.
  • Conducts pre‑op inspections as required to ensure food safety and equipment readiness.
  • Operates a variety of equipment, including extruders, sheeters, multi‑rollers, moulding systems, and conveyors, adjusting speed, gap, weight, and stroke as needed.
  • Dumps dough in hopper.
  • Ensures the extruder feeds the line with the correct amount of dough.
  • Controls piece weight and size utilizing MLO.
  • Fills flour and toppings hoppers.
  • Maintains work area clean and in 6S order to comply with GMP and BRC food safety standards.
  • Takes care of equipment monitoring it and reporting problems to leadership if they occur.
  • Maintains all required documentation.
  • Maintains care of all equipment in assigned area, taking corrective action and getting help as needed.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Communicates and works with all associates.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Food Safety Responsibilities
  • Follow all GMPs food safety and quality policies.
  • Ensure all GMP and all Food hygiene and Food safety standards are in compliance.
  • Report all food safety incidents such as GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detector or magnet deficiencies, glass breakage, and pest harborage.
  • Ensure compliance in the areas of food defense, food regulations, and product/process quality; provide adequate coaching as needed.
  • Record accurate and legible results on documentation.
  • Provide adequate housekeeping at all times.
Critical Demands of the Job
  • Moderate degree of physical activity on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
  • Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching and moving about the facility.
  • Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements; works in high noise area and wears appropriate hearing protection.
  • Vision abilities include close distance, peripheral and depth perception.
  • Exposed to cold, heat, and humidity.
  • Able to work a multi‑shift environment.
