Purpose Statement

The Machine Operator controls machinery to mold ice cream cakes safely, efficiently, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards. The role involves maximizing product quality and attractiveness, leading efforts to meet production goals, and assisting the Casting Lead in supervising molding operations.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

• Prepare casting materials and set up workstations.
• Ensure equipment operates efficiently while producing high-quality ice cream products safely and cost-effectively.
• Perform tasks to maintain smooth process flow.
• Follow safety practices, identify, and correct hazards.
• Assist the Lead as needed.
• Comply with GMP, safety, and food safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of machine operator experience.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word).
• Self-motivated with sound judgment and initiative.
• Punctual and reliable attendance.
• Effective communication skills; bilingual a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
