Job summary

Hach Company, part of the Veralto family, seeks an Operator II, Powders – 2nd Shift at the Ames facility to manufacture quality powder products per work orders and standard procedures. The role involves picking, assembling, packaging, possible machine setup, and strict adherence to safety and housekeeping rules.

The schedule is Monday–Thursday, 3:15 PM–1:45 AM, onsite with overtime possible. Required are a HS diploma or GED and at least six months of production and mechanical experience.

• Six months mechanical experience or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality of products produced according to department standards and visual or dimensional specifications.
• Comply with company safety policies including safe operation of equipment, PPE usage, hand tool safety, lock-out-tag-out, and proper storage of tools, etc.
• Comply with good housekeeping policies.
• Meet productivity standards and communicate effectively when obstacles occur.

Reporting tothe Area Manager, Powders, Solutions, the Operator ll, Powders - 2nd Shift (Open)is responsible for manufacturing quality product according to the work order or other build signal while adhering to defined work instructions. General duties may include picking, assembling, and packaging. Machine set-up and equipment operation may be required. This is a second shift position with the following schedule Monday-Thursday, 3:15PM-1:45AM. Overtime may be required. This position is part of the Operations/Plant Management and will be onsite.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The compensation range for this role is $20.00 - $20.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
