Job summary

ADM is seeking an Operator Leadperson for the Effingham, IL facility. You will maintain hands-on leadership in the mixing area, guide a team, and work with the production supervisor to meet daily schedules.

You will oversee training of new employees, monitor production flow and quality, and help troubleshoot batches, yields, and safety issues. This role requires strong communication and a proactive safety mindset, with background checks required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing and/or warehousing experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide the mixing team on a daily basis.
  • Collaborate with the production supervisor to ensure material flow according to the daily schedule.
  • Monitor production flow to maintain efficiency and throughput.
  • Troubleshoot issues with batches, yields, and quality concerns.
  • Assist in mixing when needed and train new employees.
  • Monitor workplace safety and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Enter safety audits and ensure master sanitation schedule compliance.

Job Summary

The Mixing Leadperson has active, hands‑on involvement and daily presence within the facility. The position works closely with the mixing employees and oversees the general production training for new employees.

Job Description
  • Active, hands‑on involvement and daily presence within the facility
  • Works directly with production supervisor and/ or packaging operator/leadperson to ensure flow of material to and from mixing is according to daily production schedule
  • Monitors the flow of production to maintain production efficiencies
  • Helps trouble shooting issues with batches, yields, and quality concerns
  • Assists in mixing when needed
  • Monitors the workplace for improvements and safety concerns
  • Enters safety audits into SCPro.
  • Maintains compliance of master sanitation schedule.
  • Ensures colleagues are complying with all policies and procedures.
  • Ensures mixing colleagues are cleaning when idle time occurs
  • Responsible for leading and providing guidance to team.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing and/or warehousing experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word etc)
