Job summary

The City of Whitewater is seeking an experienced Operator III, Water to operate and maintain municipal water facilities and support the Operations Lead Operator and Supervisor.

This role includes an on-call rotation with night and weekend coverage, after-hours availability, regulatory compliance, and certification maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in water field or related industry.
• Must possess a minimum, valid active T-2 and/or D-2 Water Operator License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills.
• Must be computer literate in Windows and MS Office.
• Must be available after hours and on-call work as required.
• Must possess knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• OSHA 10 General Industry Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
• Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid US Driver's License.
