Operator II (Mill)– Mount Vernon, IN
ADM Milling
This is a full-time, hourly position.

Position Summary:

The plant processes wheat into flour and feed products. The process operates continuously and is staffed seven days per week, 24 hours a day.

Job Responsibilities:

• Entry-level/training position leading to mill operator I (candidate must be willing and able to advance within the milling department)
• Perform operational duties in an industrial wheat processing facility
• Set-up, adjust, and monitor various processing machinery
• Continuously assess operating conditions and make process adjustments as needed to meet critical product specifications
• Monitor and control HACCP points
• Perform necessary GMP and cleaning duties, including cleaning and repairing machinery, and other duties as assigned
• Develop expertise in milling processes, troubleshooting, and producing quality products
• Demonstrate flexibility to learn new tasks and roles
• Understand instructions and complete detailed tasks with minimal supervision
• Maintain good communication skills, both written and verbal

Physical and Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic computer skills, math comprehension, and familiarity with plant environments are helpful
• Ability to climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, at heights, and in harsh environments (hot, cold, dusty)
• Good work habits, including attendance and productivity
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends

ADM requires successful completion of a background check.

Compensation:

The expected hourly pay is $22.97, with variations based on experience, location, and other factors. Overtime pay is provided for qualifying hours.
