Job summary

Epredia is hiring a 1st Shift Operator, Manufacturing at our Kalamazoo site. You will run equipment, perform routine quality checks, and ensure smooth manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes safety, precision, and adherence to GMP and SOPs.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, can lift up to 50 lbs, and possess basic computer and math skills. English fluency is required to document and communicate effectively with the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• English fluency required (speaking, reading, writing).
• Basic computer skills (data entry, navigation).
• Strong math fundamentals (add/subtract/multiply/divide).

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment and monitor performance.
• Conduct routine quality checks and document results.
• Set up equipment, perform changes over, and maintain clean work area.
• Follow GMP principles and safety regulations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (PPI, 5S).
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and proper paperwork.

We’re seeking a reliable and motivated 1st Shift Operator, Manufacturing to join our production team. This role is responsible for running equipment, performing routine quality checks, and ensuring smooth operation of manufacturing processes. What Will Be Doing

• Tasks associated with the operation, inspecting and packaging of finished goods, including quality checks (visual inspection of parts for defects - fill levels, packaging and others)
• Completing production operations work orders accurately
• Performing equipment set-up and change over, basic preventative maintenance, cleaning of equipment, work area and facility while complying with all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Applies Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) principles in all areas of responsibility
• Participate in Practical Process Improvement (PPI), 5S, and other continuous improvement and lean projects
• Comply with safety and regulatory regulations, policies, and procedures
• Exercise proper lifting, bending, and twisting techniques

Skills You Will Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent and Can lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS), provide clear documentation and complete appropriate paperwork.
• English language fluency required - including ability to speak, read and write without assistance
• Basic computer skills - data entry, log in/out, screen and program navigation
• Possess working mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, multiplication and division)
