Job description

SUMMARY

Manually inspects completed plastic parts and packs them into boxes for shipping. Seals boxes, prints labels, and stacks full boxes on pallets. Operates machines and may train Operator 1. Performs duties in a safe manner, maintaining a clean and organized work area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. In-process inspections: Frequently examines the viral attributes of each product, including discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination sinks, splay, delamination, etc.
2. Records data: Documents any information regarding the product or performance of duties as deemed necessary by management.
3. Packing: Transfers product from catch bins or boxes into shipping containers, transports to shipping area, weighs properly, completes and affixes correct labels using SAP, prepares and supplies boxes to molding presses, and stacks finished products on pallets correctly.
4. Maintains work area: Keeps production and packing areas clean by sweeping floors, removing stray molded parts, dust, dirt, grease, or oil from molding presses, and cleaning spills and leaks.
5. Operates machines: Operates manually operated molding presses as required, including removing molded products or runners, packing products, and placing inserts into molds.
6. Training: May train Operator 1 employees.
7. Sort and rework: Sorts and reworks products that do not meet customer requirements, properly documents and labels non-conforming products, and may sample and gauge reject products.
8. Teamwork: Develops and maintains good working relationships with all departments.
9. Training compliance: Completes all required training.
10. Safety: Conducts all functions safely, complies with safety and environmental regulations, and uses appropriate safety equipment.
11. Other duties: Performs additional duties as assigned.
