Summary

The Operator II manually inspects completed plastic parts, packs them into boxes for shipping, seals boxes, prints labels, and stacks full boxes on pallets. Operates machines and may train Operator 1. Ensures safety and maintains a clean and organized work area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform in-process inspections, examining product attributes such as discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination, splay, delamination, etc.
2. Record data related to product quality and duties performed as required by management.
3. Prepare products for shipping by transferring from catch bins or boxes into containers, weighing, labeling using SAP, and stacking on pallets.
4. Maintain a clean work environment, including sweeping, removing debris, and cleaning equipment and spills.
5. Operate molding presses and other machinery, including removing molded products and packing.
6. May train Operator 1 employees.
7. Sort and rework non-conforming products, properly documenting and labeling their status; may include sampling and gaging rejects.
8. Foster teamwork and develop good working relationships across departments.
9. Complete all required training and perform job functions safely and in compliance with safety regulations.
10. Use appropriate safety equipment and follow environmental guidelines.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Knowledge Requirements

1. Math skills at or above average.
2. Ability to stand and walk for long hours.
3. Good color perception and manual dexterity.
4. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs safely.
5. Effective teamwork and communication skills, with proficiency in English.
6. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and email.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range is $16.15 - $29.09, based on qualifications and experience, location, and other factors. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off; parental leave; holidays; 401(k); and stock purchase plans.
