Job Description

Who we are looking for:

Atkore, a recipient of a Great Place to Work certification and a Top Workplaces USA award, is searching for a Machine Operator to be based out of our Phoenix, AZ facility. Reporting to the shift supervisor, this person will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot on assigned machines. The Machine Operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and adjusting, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.

What you’ll do:

  • Set up and operate production machines according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery.
  • Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely manner.
  • Perform pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation.
  • Operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment during production to ensure quality and minimize unplanned stops.
  • Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of high-quality products with minimal waste.
  • Complete documentation including daily production reports, quality inspections, and safety checks.

What you'll bring:

  • Teamwork and ability to work independently.
  • Handle heavy equipment and multitask.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Complete initial training.
  • Learn to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Assist with changeovers, set-ups, and quality control inspections.
