Job description

Location: Garwood, TX

Seeking an individual to perform various duties at an aggregate plant facility, including equipment operation, welding, and other plant-related tasks. Must be dedicated, willing to learn, and eager to build a career while maintaining the highest safety standards. This is an entry-level equipment operator position, and training will be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

1. Operate equipment to support daily production and plant operations
2. Assist the plant supervisor with daily operations and maintenance
3. Inspect plant areas for maintenance, repairs, and screen changes
4. Perform welding and fabrication as needed
5. Identify safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond appropriately
6. Follow instructions accurately
7. Work evenings and weekends as required
8. Adhere strictly to safety procedures per MSHA and OSHA guidelines
9. Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills and Knowledge

• Experience with large aggregate equipment (loader, haul truck, water truck, skid steer) preferred
• Knowledge of welding and general mechanics preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• MSHA certification preferred
