The Gund Company is seeking a CNC Composites Operator I to operate presses, forming and related equipment for thermoset composite materials. This role involves manual tasks, use of hand tools, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities include setting up tooling, loading programs, measuring parts, and performing in-process inspections in a non-climate-controlled environment with PPE. Benefits and ongoing training are provided.
As a CNC Composites Operator I, you will play a key role in the steps related to the manufacture of thermoset composite materials by operating manufacturing equipment that includes presses, forming, extrusion, pultrusion and/or shape machines. Duties also involve manual work and duties that require the use of various hand tools and secondary/accessory equipment.
High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related coursework or training, or any similar combination of education and experience.
Prior experience in a manufacturing industry with mixing, batching or compounding equipment.
This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
