Job summary

Applied Composites is seeking a CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift to operate CNC machines and use existing programming to produce tools & parts to dimensional requirements. The ideal candidate will have several years of CNC operating experience and some exposure to CNC programming, working under indirect supervision.

The role includes running 5-axis CNC operations, participating in problem-solving with Engineering & Production teams, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
• Years’ Experience: 2-3 years of relevant work experience
• Skills: Previous CNC programming experience preferred; Understanding of material properties & characteristics; Working knowledge of various measuring gauges; Advanced computer knowledge; Ability to do trigonometry and geometrical math computations; Ability to interact effectively with customers, peers, management, manufacturing personnel, and both technical and non-technical people; Experience in laminating Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, Kevlar, or other composite material preferred

• 2nd Shift Position with overtime required as necessary

Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a CNC Machinist - 2nd Shiftto operate CNC machines and use existing programming to produce tools & parts to dimensional requirements. The ideal candidate will possess several years of CNC operating experience, some exposure to CNC programming, and attributes of a self-starter as this individual will at times work under indirect supervision.

  • Experience in laminating Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, Kevlar, or other composite material preferred
