Job summary

FlatironDragados in Lumberton NC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to drive and control heavy machinery used in road and structure construction. You will perform routine maintenance and coordinate with the crew to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and experience with construction equipment; willingness to perform additional tasks as directed and alignment with our company values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with construction equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive, maneuver, or control heavy machinery used to construct roads and other structures.
• Cleans and maintains equipment, performing basic repairs as needed.
• Moves levers and pedals to control equipment and coordinates actions with crew.

What you will be doing

Drive, maneuver, or control the heavy machinery used to construct roads and other structures

• Cleans and maintains equipment, making basic repairs as necessary.
• Moves levers, pushes pedals, or turn valves to control equipment. Drives and maneuver equipment.
• Coordinates machine actions with crew members using hand or audio signals.
• Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.
• Performs additional assignments per management’s direction.

• Experience with construction equipment preferred.
