Job summary

The Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, Inc. in Macon, GA is hiring a Forklift/Tygard Operator to unload full goods and move loads safely within the warehouse. You will operate a tygard forklift, verify incoming and outgoing materials, stack loads properly and perform daily inspections.

This role requires adherence to safety policies and the ability to work a fast-paced schedule. Minimum 18 years old, able to read and write English, and willing to work weekends or Flex schedule as needed.

• Minimum age 18 years old.
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tygard forklift to unload full goods and load storage areas safely.
• Verify all product, full goods, and raw materials incoming and outgoing.
• Stack loads properly.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Perform daily forklift inspections.
• Follow all warehouse operating procedures and policies.

Job Description

The Forklift/Tygard Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to unload full goods while traveling safely to storage area to load full goods and dunnage by performing the following duties:

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Ability to operate tygard
• Operation of powered industrial equipment while following UNITED safety policy
• Verify all product/full goods/raw materials incoming and outgoing
• Stacking loads properly
• Perform general housekeeping duties
• Perform daily forklift inspections
• Correctly rotate product/materials
• Responsible for following all warehouse operating procedures
• Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What You Need To Succeed

• Minimum age 18 years old
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
• Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
• Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
• Less than high school education; or up to 1-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Forklift experience preferred
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
• Ability to work with all functional team members

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
